A2Z is the final stepping stone in our series of children's programs. It is our Kindergarten readiness program.

This program stresses letter and number recognition, phonetics, and writing skills. We will learn to write the alphabet, upper and lower case, and numbers 0-20. We will be using a hands-on approach to learning. Your child should be able to write his/her own name by the end of the program. This year we are using a wide variety of educational games, art projects, and some STEM activities to reinforce and strengthen the skills they will need for Kindergarten.

We ask that you provide your child a nutritious lunch each week. Sitting down together for a meal is a great socialization activity for kids and helps prepare them for lunch at school next year.

Your child must be 4-5 years old and Kindergarten eligible in September, 2024 to enroll (this means at least 4 years old by September 1, 2023 and no older than 5 by May 2023). This is a 2-hour program. All children must be restroom independent. Parents are welcome to wait in the library during the program, but you are free to leave and return for pickup. Parents are not allowed to accompany the child during the program.
