Library e-Card
Perry Cook Memorial Library (PCML) now offers an e-Card option for those interested in an "online only" relationship with the library. The e-Card allows for immediate access to eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, and all of the library's full digital resources.
The e-Card provides the opportunity to borrow items from the digital library from home. Electronic books, audiobooks, magazines, and online research tools can all be enjoyed on a personal computer, tablet, or mobile phone.
Ohio residents age 18 and older may register for an e-Card at no charge.
- Due to COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) restrictions and new proposed legislation (COPPA 2.0 and KOSA, aka the Kids Online Safety Act), we do not currently offer e-Cards to those under 18 years of age. Please visit the library with your minor child/children to obtain a physical library card.
Once your online registration is complete, patrons will immediately receive a card number to use for accessing downloadable and digital resources.
- No physical library card will be issued.
- PCML's digital library is available 24/7 and all borrowed items will automatically expire at the end of the lending period -- there are no late fees.
- If you wish to place holds on and/or borrow physical items, you'll need to upgrade to a standard library card by visiting the library in person and filling out a card application. Please bring along Ohio ID and proof of address.
If you already have a PCML card, you already have access to digital items -- no need for an e-Card. Your standard card already allows you all of the benefits of an e-Card (and more).
